Littering in the park is prohibited  this is because the park is an eco- friendly national park that focused on sustainable tourism for not only the present generation but also for future generations which is among the reasons why dian Fossey made it a point to tackle poaching of the mountain gorillas by raiding the villages and destroying the poaching equipment of the poachers to avoid the extinctions of the gorillas in the country which is among the reasons why gorilla trekking in Rwanda, gorilla trekking in Africa is quite possible. A number of items that are littered in the park can cause accidents like choking and also contract the viruses in the park

Picking flowers and vegetation in the park should be avoided this is because picking and dropping the vegetation in the different parts of the park can lead to the invasion of primate species which can lead to the growth of invasive species in the park which can be a threat to the gorillas in the park.
