Villa Gorilla Lodge
Villa Gorilla Lodge is a mid-range accommodation located in Kinigi, near the headquarters of Rwanda’s fascinating Volcanoes National Park, Musanze district. How to get to the lodge.
You can be at the lodge by road transport from Kigali city, taking about a 2-3 hour drive, or you can fly from Kigali to Ruhengeri airstrip in 30 minutes, then a few minutes to be transferred to the lodge. The lodge is the perfect base for gorilla trekking activities for travelers and tourists who enjoy trekking and the beautiful views.
About the lodge.
Villa Gorilla Lodge comprises 4 elegant and comfortable self-contained rooms overlooking the Virunga volcanoes and surrounding areas, which are built in an African traditional style.
-Rooms are well decorated and furnished with large four-poster beds with raised floor, clean flushing toilets, hot and cold en-suite showers with bathrooms, mosquito nets, air conditioning, chairs, coffee making facilities, safety box, complementary bottled water, free toiletries, and many more.
-Rooms have sitting areas and terraces, overlooking the spectacular views of the serene garden, distant thousands of hills, and the surrounding sounds of nature.
-Rooms have excellent king-sized beds with clean and washed beddings with ceiling fans. Rooms vary in different sizes and categories, depending on singles, doubles, twins, triple, or family rooms.

About the park
Volcanoes National Park is the largest and most visited national park in the northwestern part of Rwanda. The park occupies a total area of 505 square miles of rainforest and is surrounded by five volcanoes in the Virunga Mountains, namely Karisimbi, Bisoke, Muhabura, Gahinga, and Sabinyo, and there are two active volcanoes that are 25 miles apart. Apart from Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda has different parks, including Nyungwe and Akagera National Park, with different attractions. Though Rwanda is a small landlocked locked, tourism is the fast and leading activity.
The park has different accommodations: Budget, mid-range, and luxury, which are convenient and affordable for each tourist’s budget. The lodge was set particularly for tourists visiting the park. The best time to track gorillas in Volcanoes, Rwanda, is in the rainy season is from Feb to March, July, August, September, October, and mid-December. A gorilla permit in Rwanda is at 1500$. Rwanda contains 3 tribes, including: Hutu, Tutsi, and Twa, all unique in their ways, prompting their safari visits while in Rwanda.
