Chimpanzee trekking is an exciting activity to perform after gorilla trekking in Uganda.  Chimpanzee trekking in Uganda takes place in a variety of locations, including Kibale Forest National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park’s Kyambura Gorge, Kalinzu Forest, and Budongo Forest. Chimpanzee trekking begins early in the morning in all places with a briefing on the laws and regulations to be followed while hiking. Following the briefing, you will be separated into groups of six individuals and begin trekking in the jungle with an expert park guide who is familiar with various chimp trekking trails.

Chimpanzee trekking in Uganda takes between 30 minutes and 4 hours, depending on where the chimps are located. Other monkey species, other bird species, plant and tree species, and so forth will be visible during hiking. Once the chimps are located, you will be permitted to spend one hour with them in their natural environment, where you will be able to learn about their behaviors and customs, observe chimps go about their daily activities, snap photographs, and record movies to show folks back home.

Best Time for gorilla trekking in Uganda.

Gorilla trekking is an exciting adventure that can be done all year, but the optimum time is during the dry season, also known as the peak season, which occurs in the months of June, July, August, September, December, January, and February. Because there is less rainfall in the national parks during the dry season, access roads and gorilla trekking paths are dry and accessible, making hiking easier than during the rainy season, when the pathways are muddy and slippery, making trekking harder.
