Day 1: Transfer from Kampala/Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park
On Day 1 of your 4 Days Murchison Falls National Park Safari, start your day early in the morning with departure from Kampala or Entebbe to the park. The journey to the park takes approximately 6 hours and offers stunning views of the countryside, including roadside markets and traditional villages. As you journey to the park, you will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino trekking. This is the only place in Uganda where you can see rhinos in their natural habitat.
During your rhino trekking experience, you will view white rhinos grazing peacefully while learning more about Uganda’s conservation efforts. Have lunch in Masindi and then proceed to Murchison Falls National Park, arriving in the late afternoon.
Upon your arrival in the park, proceed to the magnificent Murchison Falls, where you will witness the mighty Nile forcing itself through a narrow gorge, creating misty sprays and a beautiful rainbow. The viewpoint offers spectacular photography opportunities and panoramic scenery.
Later in the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise
Start Day 2 of your 4 Days Murchison Falls National Park Safari with breakfast at your lodge. Head out for a morning game drive in the park. The morning hours are ideal for wildlife viewing before temperatures rise.
During the morning game drive, you will view a number of wildlife animals roaming in the park, such as elephants, buffalo, giraffes, Uganda Kobs, waterbucks, hartebeests, and warthogs, among others. Predators like lions and the elusive leopard are also occasionally spotted hunting in the savannah plains. Also, birding enthusiasts can expect sightings of numerous species of birds, including the secretary birds, bee-eaters, and hornbills, among others.
Return to your lodge for lunch and rest for a while. Later in the afternoon, you will head out for an afternoon boat cruise along the Nile River. This boat cruise is one of the highlights of any visit to the park. As the boat slowly approaches the base of the falls, you will get a chance to see hippos basking in the water and huge Nile crocodiles sunning themselves on the riverbanks, as well as other wildlife such as elephants drinking at the shoreline.
The boat cruise also provides excellent birdwatching opportunities, especially for the rare shoebill stork if you are fortunate. The dramatic view of the falls from the bottom is truly unforgettable, with powerful waters crashing through the narrow gorge amid clouds of spray.
Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Delta Boat Cruise and Community Cultural Tour
After breakfast on Day 3 of your 4 Days Murchison Falls National Park Safari, you will embark on a morning boat Cruise on the Nile Delta, where the Nile River flows into Lake Albert. The calm waters of the Nile attract various aquatic birds, including pelicans, kingfishers, fish eagles, and the sought-after shoebill stork.
The delta excursion offers a quieter and more intimate wildlife experience compared to the main boat cruise. You may also spot wildlife such as antelopes, crocodiles, hippos, waterbucks, and many more along the river banks.
Later in the afternoon, you will get a chance to visit a local community for a cultural experience. Get a chance to interact with the friendly locals, take part in their traditional dances, and also learn more about their rich cultural heritage.
