Children to Test for Covid-19 Before Arrival in Uganda : As part of the different measures for the country to avoid the spread of covid-19 among the locals and tourists that visit the country, the ministry of health and the Uganda wildlife authority put in place a number of covid-19 safety measures in Uganda to ensure that you have an amazing and safe experience in the country.
There are a number of covid-19 measures that tourists that visit the country should follow to ensure that they have an amazing time and a safe experience against covi-19 in the country but with the new developments on how to ensure the safety of its tourists and the locals, the ministry has put in more efforts by establishments new covi-19 safety measures for a better experience in the country and this includes mandatory testing for children as covid-19 variants and spread the viruses to other people which is a threat to well irrespective of their vaccination status or country of origin, this is because recent studies have showed that the children have also spread the virus to a number of people which is quite a big threat in the combatting of the virus in the country.
Therefore, with such incidences, the ministry f health in Uganda issued a statement that with effect from 3 September 2021 all children that make their way to the country should have a negative RT: PCR covid-19 test taken within 72 hours upon arrival and once they reach the country another covid-19 test will be taken t determine its incubation in the body which will help identify patients who will be isolated or taken to government quarantine centres to avoid the spread of the virus.
Some of the other covid-19 safety measures that are emphasized in the country include;
While taking part in a number of activities in the country, you should wear your mask to avoid contracting covid-19 which is easily spread through air from the droplets from an infected person being transmitted through air.
Maintain social distance of about two arms’ length distance from one another during the different activities in Uganda like gorilla trekking, chimpanzee trekking, gorilla habituation in Uganda and many other activities, avoid close contact to one another which can easily spread the virus.
Before tourist’s land at Entebbe international airport you should first take a really time covid-19 PCR test 72 hours before you access the, you’re also required to take another covid-19 test to help rule out whether you’re a threat to the health of other tourists and the locals.
and when you land at the international airport, in order to allow and avoid the spread of virus and also in a way to avoid tourists from importing new covid-19 variants that have claimed a number of people therefore before any tourist accesses Entebbe international airport, you should take a real time covid-19 test.
After tourists have landed at Entebbe international airport they should take another covid-19 test which will ensure that the virus has incubated which gives it time to be detected and in case the test comes up positive then they are taken to the government quarantine centers until tourists are treated and get better to take part in a number of tourism activities.
There are a number government Quarantine centers that can be accessed for tourists that test positive for covid-19 and these can be treated a t cost until they are no longer a threat to spread the virus to other trackers and the locals at large and may other covid-19 safety measures in the country.
